Professional Information

I have been a licensed psychologist for over 30 years. I earned a master's degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and worked as a School Psychologist for 10 years there. I received my doctorate at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1982. I began private practice in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I worked from 1983 until 2012. I then moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I currently have a private coaching practice connected with “Associates at Park Avenue."

Senior Psychologist - BF

After a successful career as a licensed psychologist for over 30 years, I have recently decided to embark on a new professional journey. I have transitioned into a new role as a coach, specifically a “Life Stage Relationship Coach,” a title I coined as none of the existing terms for a coach (Life, Relationship, Somatic) quite captured the essence of what I wanted to do. This transition, from a psychologist to a coach, is a significant one, as it allows me to bring a unique perspective and a wealth of experience to my clients. Only after having traveled a road can you look back and see it from that “reverse” perspective that highlights the stages you’ve come through. Sometimes coaching is as simple as working together to devise a strategy and plan and then executing it. Sometimes that does not work and looking back at the various stages of life and how successfully or unsuccessfully they were completed can you give clues as to how to proceed.

Senior Psychologist - WM

I am partially retired, working four days a week, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a Life Stage Relationship Coach.

I love this work and plan to retire fully only when my health conditions or circumstances allow me to.
